Spiritual Symbolism

Historically, black cats have been associated with witches and magic. Black cats are very powerful conduits in magic. They are symbolic of magic, mystery, intuition, and loyalty. In many cultural superstitions, if a black cat crosses your path it is symbolic of a bad omen. In some cultures black cats actually bring good luck. In Japanese culture, a black cat crossing your path is a good omen. In Scotland, black cats symbolize prosperity.

Butterflies symbolize rebirth, transformation, happiness, joy, & creativity. Butterflies are beautiful and magnificent creatures that literally exemplify metamorphosis.

Spiritually, butterflies mean that transmutation is underway and infinite potential and future possibilities exist. 

The leopard spirit animal is fearless, intuitive, and symbolizes courage, freedom, power, and confidence. Some African natives believe that Leopards possess superpowers. They believe that leopards are the guardians of the dead that escort souls into the next realm to find their resting place. Ancient Egyptians regarded leopards as a sign of divinity. It was believed that if one was to encounter a leopard their path was considered holy. 

Lions symbolize courage, strength, protection, and bravery. Lions are a symbol of success, focus and the ability to control and master one's emotions.

Owls are symbolic of wisdom, knowledge, intuition, and revelation. Owls are associated with supernatural wisdom, and superior intelligence. 

Parrots symbolize communication and the power of words. They also symbolize playfulness, joy, happiness, and intelligent thought. The parrot also symbolizes opportunities. The message of the Parrot spirit animal is that you deserve the best life, and that opportunities exist around you in places where you might not be looking. See things from different vantage points to find new opportunities. 

Ravens are associated with the spiritual realm and magic. Ravens are symbolic of mysteries and the unknown. The raven spirit animal is the herald of powerful secrets, and has been known as the messenger for communicating information that  is often considered mysterious. These intelligent birds have the ability to carry messages through what is considered to be a spiritual veil between the spirit world and the living.

Snakes are used in the famous Caduceus sign to symbolize medicine. Snakes represent healing, knowledge, wisdom, and the transformation of energy. Snakes symbolize awakening, and transitioning to a new stage in life. 

The Steller's Jay is symbolic of love, determination, self-appreciation, and fulfilling your calling. Steller's Jay offers a message from the spirits for you to keep going. All matters will eventually resolve, and determination will allow you to meet your goals. These birds are also symbolic of passion and desire. Their message is to go after what you desire with aggression and assertiveness when needed to obtain your goals. 

White tigers symbolize strength, instinct, courage, clairvoyance, and uniqueness. The white tiger symbolizes the rarest animal in the jungle. The message of the white tiger is to embrace your unique traits, and to embody courage in all that you do.

Wolves are symbolic of strength, independence, loyalty, protection, family and friendship, freedom, leadership, and instincts. The message of the wolf spirit animal is to pay attention to your instincts.

The Maya regarded the macaw as a symbol of fire and solar energy. So the macaw was a symbol of renewal just as the element of fire is symbolic of rebirth and renewal. Many of the tribes of central and South America believe the macaw brings healing through color and light. The macaw is a sacred power animal. Angels are benevolent, supernatural beings, symbolic of the divine realm, that serve as intermediaries between God and Humans. Archaeologists have uncovered alters dedicated to guardian angels in ancient Sumeria, now known as Iraq, dating from 3,000 BC. There are stories of Angels that date back even further. Islam, Judaism, and Christianity all feature angels, and even mention Gabriel and Michael by name.

Fairies are truly magical and can assume any form, and can even become invisible. Fairies can also grant wishes. Fairies live in harmony with nature by the law of harming none. They do not reveal secrets and knowledge to those who are not ready to receive it. They are supernatural creatures, created with magical gifts, including the ability to transform their physical form. They reveal the cosmos through the divine emanation of their essence, reminding humans to do the same. Fairies wish to see humans thrive. They appreciate those who pay attention to all the wonders that exist in nature, like butterflies and iridescent dragonflies. These fairies offer many gifts and blessings to those who pay grateful attention to nature.

A Goddess is a Female deity, symbolic of feminine power. Goddesses have played powerful roles in ancient Grecian, Egyptian, Mesopotamian, and American cultures, to name a few. Goddesses also hold great importance in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Paganism.

Mermaids symbolize transformation, femininity, freedom, sensuality, wisdom, and magic. These mythological creatures have been known to be both mysterious and enchanting. Though mermaids are known to be creatures of the sea, there are some tales of mermaids who had the magical abilities to live on both land and sea.

Unicorns symbolize uniqueness, individuality, magic, mystery, purity, innocence, and enchantment. 

These legendary, mythological creatures have a long history, appearing in early Mesopotamian artwork. Unicorns were also referred to in ancients myths from China, India, and Greece. It was believed that the Unicorn possessed magical powers in it's horn to cure illness and to purify water.

The dragon is one of the most powerful and popular mythical creatures. The dragon is a multifaceted symbol that has numerous meanings that vary considerably throughout different cultures. European folklore has portrayed dragons as evil, fearsome, and malevolent creatures, while Asian cultures regard them as benevolent creatures, symbolic of good luck. The dragon is a rare and powerful spirit animal symbolic of magical powers, transformation, adaptability, intellect, authority, brilliance, enlightenment, fire and passion, mystery, spiritual awakening, and much more. It is believed that the dragon rules the elements and can take on whatever form he wishes. The dragon has supernatural shape-shifting abilities and the power to transform into any creature including humans and also can take on any shape and form.
